Event & registration information
We are very pleased to announce that the event will be back virtually on Saturday, March 20th, 2021.
Japan Bowl Ontario is an annual Japanese language and culture competition for high school students in Ontario, co-hosted by Huron University College and the Japan Society. Marking the 4th year in 2021, it is inspired and supported by the Japan Bowl®, initiated and developed by the Japan-America Society of Washington DC in 1992, and supported by Her Imperial Highness Princess Takamado as a Honorary Patron.
Japan Bowl Ontario is designed to demonstrate achievement of knowledge of Japanese language, culture, society, daily life, history, geography, and current events. For the students, it provides opportunity to challenge and enjoy their study. Our goal is to strengthen students’ interest in Japan and encourage them to continue their connection with Japan and deepen further understanding of Japan in their future. Previous winning teams have been invited to the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affair’s Kakehashi Project to visit Japan.
Registration deadline is February 26th, 2021.
