Japan Bowl Ontario 2022
Japanese Language & Culture Competition for High School Students
We are very pleased to announce that we are celebrating the 5th anniversary of the Japan Bowl Ontario and the program will be back virtually on Saturday, March 19, 2022.
Japan Bowl Ontario is a Japanese language and culture competition focusing on high school students in Ontario. It is inspired and supported by the Japan Bowl® in the United States which was created by the Japan-America Society of Washington DC in 1992.
Japan Bowl Ontario is not an exam, but a game show. It asks students about their knowledge of Japanese culture, society, daily life, history, geography, and current events. Participants compete as members of 3-person teams. Questions are all in English. We hope that this competition in Ontario will be a great opportunity for participants to meet each other virtually.
To enter, you must be a high school student in the Province of Ontario, who:
1) Has not lived in Japan for a total of six months or more.
2) Does not have a Japanese citizenship (Some exceptions may apply. If you have any questions regarding
your eligibility, please contact the organizer of Japan Bowl Ontario at the address below.)
3) Has a three-member team.
Registration deadline is Friday, February 25, 2022.
