In February 2018, fourteen University of Toronto students participated in the Kakehashi Project. Promoted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan and organized by the Centre for the Study of Global Japan, the program aims to develop a network of exchanges that will lead to deepening mutual understanding and friendship between Japan and Canada. This workshop, with support from the Consul-General of Japan Takako Ito, provides a forum for the participating students to present their reflections and discuss how the experience helped shape their academic and cultural perceptions of Japan.
Join us–as students address topics ranging from Japanese security policy to the implications of an aging population.
A light lunch is provided.
